BA (Hons) Fashion Business and Marketing has been designed to be both strategic and creative. On our exciting fashion course, you will learn essential marketing and business theory, creating exciting and effective marketing campaigns. You’ll get to understand how the industry works; exploring roles within buying and merchandising, social media marketing, PR and more. You’ll learn to develop new business ideas and address serious industry issues such as sustainability. This course is for anyone with an interest in fashion, You do not need a background in fashion or design to apply.

What is the difference between fashion design and fashion marketing?
It is the duty of a Designer to create new apparels that would be later sold to customers. Fashion marketers focus on taking a fashion product to market once it has been designed.
We aim to facilitate an environment that where you feel confident and welcome, an environment that enhances your ability to learn, develop and produce innovative and visionary work.
You will become part of a group of fashion students, and graduates, who are known for their skills, knowledge, professionalism and creative vision. Throughout your course you will be encouraged to think independently, be inspired by various cultural visits, experiment and try new ideas, and above all reach your future career goals and aspirations –_wherever they may take you.
As staff we want to help to facilitate your individual paths, understanding your skills and helping you to apply these to the fullest potential. You will engage with industry, through live briefs and work placements to make your experience of the course as relevant to current and future fashion industry practice.
The assessments within this course are 100% coursework based.
You can engage with industry through live briefs, industry visits and work placements, giving you valuable industry insight. Previous partnerships have included Motel Rocks, John Lewis, Topshop and ASOS.
We work with the careers team to plan placements and have a very large number of local, national and international brands that accept WFC students on placements and internship. Currently we have students on placements in Paris, Australia, Amsterdam, London, Manchester and Cardiff.
Erasmus is an option and we have good links with a number of universities such as Ryerson in Toronto.
At WFC, we regularly review our courses in response to changing patterns of employment and skills demand to ensure we offer learning designed to reflect today’s student needs and tomorrow’s employer demands.

As a student of WFC, you’ll have access to lots of free resources to support your study and learning, such as textbooks, publications, online journals, laptops, and plenty of remote-access resources. Whilst in most cases these resources are more than sufficient in supporting you with completing your course, additional costs, both obligatory and optional, may be required or requested for the likes of travel, memberships, experience days, stationery, printing, or equipment.
